Now that I have two little guys I feel like my laundry is never ending. I bet if you asked any of my friends or family member they could tell you a time or two when they have come over and my laundry has been hanging to dry on the rack in the kitchen or clean clothes have been on the couch waiting to be folded and put away. Seriously, I feel like it is as daily as dishes. Who’s with me?One thing I hate about doing laundry is taking armfuls of clothes from the bedroom to the laundry room. I am like Hansel and Gretal…I leave a trail behind me. I am not about ready to drag my laundry basket across the house though. That thing weighs a ton! Toward the end of my pregnancy the up and down was hard. I could hardly breathe. Now imagine if I had a bad back or was elderly. The up and down would kill me and there is no way I could carry my hamper across the house if I wanted to. Laundry would become even more dreaded than it already is.The Lifter Hamper, was created my Marvin Phillip a father and former NFL player. Marvin’s football career ended due to a back injury on the football field. Like me, as his family grew so did the laundry. He wanted to create a way to make laundry a cinch without the pinch on his back. “He grabbed his football playbook notepad and began quickly writing down ideas and sketching drawings. Eventually, Marvin engineered the components himself to create Lifter Hamper, the bungee spring loaded laundry hamper.“
I received the Lifter Hamper to review…more like to replace my old hamper with. My husband put it together for me, not because it was too hard for me, but because he wanted to. He mentioned that the instructions were a little tough but he was able to figure it out. (Yes, you read that right….he used the instructions I trained him well ) I like the size of it. Not too big but not too small. It is 36″ tall and 16″ wide. It holds 2-3 loads of laundry. This is good because if it held more I would stuff it with more and not have anything to wear. If you want, it can be folded up and put away. Folded flat it is only 2 1/2″ wide.I also really like that it has wheels on it. Now instead of dragging clothes across the house and having to backtrack to pick pieces up, I can just wheel my laundry basket across the house. The wheels glide so smoothly across carpet and wood floors. Easily enough that I can push it FULL with one hand!!The best part of the Lifter Hamper is that it brings your clothes to you. YUP! Fill the hamper up and watch the bottom lower down. As you remove clothes from the top the bottom lifts, keeping clothes always at the top. No more bending over and digging clothes out of the bottom of the hamper!!
