A Modern Makeover For My Kitchen Nook

I love how the holiday season brings family together.  I can’t wait to enjoy spending time with my family this wonderful season.  Since I will be expecting company soon, I wanted to change up my kitchen nook windows to give it a new fresh and modern look.

shutters

I decided that shutters would be a great way to do this.  Back when I bought my house over 8 years ago, and I really wanted my blinds to match my cabinets. So they are a stained blind.  They look very dated now and I wish I had done white back then. LOL! Live and learn.  I am also hoping to be brave and redo my cabinets in my kitchen one day with paint or stain to make them more modern as well. If I ever dare!!! But I digress…Here is what my kitchen looked like before…As I was searching for shutters I fell in love with the Norman Woodlore Plantation Shutters from Blinds.com.  I knew these would give me the modern look I was in search of.  did all of the ordering process over the phone with one of their design consultants and she was FABULOUS.

She asked me to send her a picture of the window frame by email and then we went over everything by phone conversation. She even told me what and how to measure my windows.   I was very impressed with the quality and customer service of their team. They were so easy to install, I was actually quite surprised because I thought it was going to be a long and hard process, but it wasn’t.Installation took about an hour from start to finish.  It was actually very simple and easy for my husband and I to do.  These shutters are a great product for the do-it-yourself-ers like my husband and myself are.Look at what a HUGE difference the shutters made in my breakfast nook!I am so happy with how my new makeover turned out!  It really brightened up the room and gave it such a fresh clean and modern look.  I can’t wait to show off my new shutters to my family over the holidaysRight now you can get 20% off Norman products like these shutters I got, use code Norman 20 at checkout
