On January 1 I started working hard toward my New Year’s resolution, to lose 50 lbs. Now that I am down 41 lbs. the clothes I wore last year at this time don’t fit. A good and a bad problem to have. Bad because I have very little that isn’t drowning me in fabric but good great because I am forced to buy new things. (Note if you say you are forced to buy new clothes your husband has a little easier time when you hit the shops.) This is the Cascading Ruffle Front Top with Belted Waist. I received it in white, although I think it is more cream. I have to wear something under it because it is a little shear. When I tried a white top under it clashed but the cream matched perfectly. This top comes with the dark brown tan belt (as pictured). I also paired it with a fun cheetah belt I picked up at Target. This is a long sleeve shirt that can be worn long or rolled up. This makes it a great transition piece for summer to fall. Throw a cardigan over it like I did (oooh! even pair it with some great boots!) and take it into winter. I am wearing a large. This shirt is currently selling for $14.99 and is also available in black.Next up is the Collarless Top with Zipper Trim Pockets. I received this top in black with gold zipper details. Like the Cascading Ruffle Front Top this is also long sleeve but can be rolled up. Both shirts have the tab the comes from the inside of the sleeve and buttons on the outside to hold the rolled up sleeve in place. I love when shirts have this extra detail. Not only do my sleeves stay up better but it gives it a more finished look. I LOVE this top! It isn’t see through so an under shirt isn’t mandatory. I wear a black cami underneath to give a little extra length…that is what bigger chested Women have to do sometimes. The shirt is longer in the back to make it more flattering from behind. (When a shirt is short in the back like it is in the front it creates a big booty. Sometime none of us want!) The zippers actually open up into a real pocket…not that I would put anything in my chest pockets; I just wanted to say they aren’t just details.
This is a fun flirty shirt with a little bit of an edge. Light enough for summer but also great for fall and winter! I can’t wait to wear it with some jeans and black boots! I am wearing a large. That just goes to show you if you see something you want get it while you can!Lastly, I received the J. Crew Inspired Fan Fringe Necklace. If you follow RMRV on Instagram you had a sneak peek of this beauty. (If you don’t follow us, do!) This is such a cute necklace and a statement piece for sure! You can totally change a blah outfit into an oh yeah! outfit just by slipping this bad boy on. It is purple, orange, and red but the purple is deep enough that it almost looks navy. The first time I wore this I paired it with a total Pinterest outfit…a maxi dress with a chambray top over it. I felt so cute at work!
