I have three young children. Keeping an eye on all of them at the same time can be tricky.
Welcome the Summer Infant Baby Zoom Wifi to our home.
When I pulled it out of the box there really were only a few things. The camera and it’s power cord, the monitor and it’s power cord, and the instruction manual. It also included a pack of clips for mounting (if desired). While we won’t be hanging ours up I do like that I have the option if I need to in the future. For now it will just sit on my children’s dresser.
The first thing I had to do to get it running was install the app from Summer Infant on my cell phone (smart phone). I simply typed in ‘Summer Infant Wifi’ and found it. Once I went through the steps to set up my account it asked me to connect the camera. I did this by plugging in the camera with it’s power cord to the wall outlet and turned the switch to on. It then connected and I finished set up. (I did have an issue with my camera not being able to connect to my phone. Summer Infant was great and their customer service helped me walk through each step and we had it up and running in a matter of minutes.)
Next: We were in live mode. I found the monitor to be clear and the picture/sound to be of good quality. But do note that is really dependent on your Wifi connection. The farther you are from your router the worse your picture and sound may be. We live in a small house so we did not have any issues with this.
My favorite features:
Ability to access on my smartphone
Additional user can access (my husband)
Ability to access the video feed when I am not home
I can purchase another camera to use in split screen (for an additional cost)
I found this monitor and camera very easy to use. It only took me a few minutes to set up and I love that I can access the camera feed from anywhere. It’s great when I run errands and leave the babysitter with the kids, or when my husband is at work he can check in on the little ones.
