I am a breastfeeding mama.I love breastfeeding. I love the connection I get with my baby. I love to cuddle him. I love that it is cheaper than formula. I love that you don’t have to worry about running out of food while out on an errand. The hardest thing about breastfeeding, though, is trying to get a little privacy. When baby is hungry, baby is hungry. I hate going in to the bathroom to nurse. There is just something that sicks me out about that…plus, when I have to do that it just happens to be at place that has a line and only two stalls…could you imagine the looks a lady could get with that situation!?Poncho Baby knows all the tricks to get you and your baby the privacy you desire. Poncho Baby, was founded by Carolina, a mother of two , who was frustrated when she couldn’t find a breastfeeding cover that provided privacy in the front and back. Poncho Baby was born to fill her needs and so many other women’s.
Poncho Baby is a nursing cover made out of 100% Muslin cotton and covers both front AND back of mommy. Muslin is super breathable so baby doesn’t feel hot and sweaty while hiding out. It also has boning on the front so you can see what your baby is doing underneath. It can be tossed in the washer and dryer and is totally compact to fit nicely inside a diaper bag.Poncho Baby is available in olive green, black, beige, and navy blue.I have a few nursing covers but I this one is the only one I own that covers my back. I love that because sometimes the shirt I am wearing isn’t one I pull down from the top to nurse but I have to lift up. When I lift it up, not only doesn’t my tummy show my so does my lower back. I like to keep it covered up.I also like that it is plain black. This helps keep my baby focused, even when we are bottle feeding under the Poncho Baby. There are two pockets on the inside of the Poncho Baby. I have been able to stash a burp cloth for him and a pack of gum for me. I don’t know what it is about chewing gum while I nurse but it is a must. Here is the best part about the Poncho Baby….it is more than just a nursing cover. You can use it for a blanket, a stroller cover, or a car seat canopy. The Poncho Baby website says you can also use it as a stylish poncho but I live in baby capital of the world so the ladies here would probably wonder why I a walking around with my nursing cover on. (Utah had the highest birth rate, with 88 births per 1,000 women age 15 to 44. reference) I think I will pass on wearing it as clothing but I will use it for more than just nursing. In fact, the other night we were at dinner and I used it as a car seat canopy to block out the light for my son. We don’t have a canopy so this was great!
