Here the children can not only explore science topics and science experiments in depth, but can also e-mail Celsius the Science Bug™ with questions, results, and comments. It is her favorite subject in school and she just loves learning all about it. When given the opportunity to review a kit from The Young Scientists Club, I knew it would be the perfect gift for her! The Young Scientists Club offers several different amazing kits on all different science topics. I chose the Magic School Bus: Solar Energy to the Rescue kit for her. After teaching for several years, I know how much kids love Magic School Bus and Mrs. Frizzle! This fun kit includes several different activities; explores the greenhouse effect, collect real carbon dioxide, recreate global warming in a bottle,
use a solar panel to spin a fan, make a solar secret code, design solar spinners, and watch solar energy inflate balloons! Needless to say, she is having a blast completing the many activities included and can’t seem to get enough! She is able to work on the individual activities at her own pace and complete them on her own. All of the activities have been right on her level and perfect for her age. I am pretty sure she’ll be ready for another kit soon and I think she would LOVE this Science on a tracking expedition kit, full of fun ways of identifying and even creating animal tracks!! So awesome!As well as purchasing kits individually, there is also a very cool monthly subscription kit option. The Young Scientists Club can work similar to a magazine subscription in that your child will be sent a complete science kit on a regular basis; you can choose one per month or even two per month!
