Dress Your Child In Ideas Coney Island Review

Before my son was born I has people asking me when baby #2 would come along.  Really people!  I hadn’t even had my first kid yet!  Now that my son is one that question has resurfaced., especially among my friends who are starting to think about bay #2 themselves.  Don’t tell my hubby but sometimes I daydream about baby #2.  I want a girl so I think about how I am gong to dress her, what I would name her, what the nursery would look like…all the silly stuff that newlywed girls think about.  After discovering Coney Island Baby, I just know this is going to be a place that we be a must shop when baby #2 is around.Coney Island Baby is a children’s clothing company that is much like Coney Island itself.  These clothes inspire fun and spark the imagination.  Also like Coney Island, these clothes are a mix of old and new, foreign and the familiar, and real and surreal.  Coney Island Baby’s vision is to “dress kids in ideas that help awaken the sense of wonder that starts the ride of life.”  That is just what their clothes reflect!

This cool, whimsical clothing line is made in Egypt at a manufacturing factory that dates back to 1836!  The fabrics are top quality products from Europe and Turkey and they only use environmentally friendly dyes.  If you can’t tell, this company has put a lot of thought and care into the product they are making for their customers.Coney Island Baby sent baby #2  this adorable Beauty onesie.  This super soft aqua onesie is “illustrated by Melissa Murray and inspired by Dostoyevsky’s novel, The Idiot.”  I love this little girl floating away on a dandelion seed.  To mean dandelion’s represent childhood and wishes.  Did you ever pick a dandelion, make a wish, and then blow the seeds?  To me, this little girls is floating away on her childhood’s hopes and dreams.  Don’t want to get too deep, but think about what your hopes and dreams were as a child. What did you want to be when you grew up?  What did you want to achieve in life?  What car were you going to drive, house were you going to live in, or pets were you going to have?  Soak these things in, grab a dandelion, and float away on your dreams.  Fun huh!?  That is how I feel when I look at this onesie.
