Cooking Surface cannot be Scratched, even by Metal Utensils and Industrial Steel Wool I received the Xtrema 10” Open Ceramic Skillet for review. I was happy that it was light yet it wasn’t flimsy. The handle was easy to grip with my hands. As far as cooking, it was the weekend so it was my husband’s turn to cook (yes I know I’m lucky!) and he made breakfast and dinner with the skillet. He read the directions that came with the skillet, making sure, for example, to add a thin coat of oil to the pan when it reachedmedium heat to make fried eggs. Everything turned out really well. He cooked, so I cleaned, and the panwas very easy to wash. I like how the sides of the pan are very high, so my food doesn’t goflyingeverywhere when I cook (I’m such a messy chef!). And I don’t hear my husband asking me “Areyou using plastic utensils? Don’t scratch the pan!” because Xtrema cookware does not scratch, evenwith metal utensils. Can you tell he’s the main cook of the house?! Anyways, as we’ve used it, itseems to get better and better and we like it more and more. What’s best is that it’s made of ceramic, sowe can be confident that chemicals are not being absorbed into our food.
