Beckham & Friends {Gunner’s Nook Review & Giveaway} Beckham’s Birthday Bash

On Saturday my hubby and I threw my son one killer Mickey Mouse Clubhouse 1st birthday party.  This is our first child’s first birthday so there were no boundaries.  I was determined to make this one to remember, although I know there is no way he will.  In reality, I think I just put the bar way to high for myself. When I step back and think about it though, parties like his are very doable…especially when you have amazing companies to turn to.  Gunner’s Nook is one of those wonderful companies.  They sent me a really wonderful Mickey & Friends themed creation to add an extra something to Beckham’s party.Gunner’s Nook is an Etsy shoppe where hand painted creations are featured.  Ashlee, owner and creator, does AH.MAZE.ING work!  I mean her things are just cute, they are SPECTACULAR!  She is so creative and talented.  She creates such fun things!!  The first thing that caught my eye when I discovered Gunner’s Nook were her character letters.

Here are some examples of her amazing work:

The ideas are endless.  I feel like she can create anything!  I feel like you could match any child’s bedroom, any child’s favorite movie/show, or any family’s favorite book.  Ashlee has even made letters to match favorite sports teams!  I tell you, this chica can create the perfect thing for your child, spouse, friend, event…you name it!Gunner’s Nook sent Beckham his name in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse characters.  They were featured as the centerpiece of our food table.  Check them out! They are sooooo cute. The B is Mickey, Beckham’s favorite character. E is Goofy. C is Pluto. K is Donald. H is Minnie. A is Daisy. M is Pete. I love how creative each letter is. You can look right at the letter and know who it is without it having a name tag to identify it.

These letters are made of cardboard so they are light weight.  Ashlee hand paints everything.  Then she dresses them up with paper, feathers, or whatever else is necessary for your creation to come out perfect. Each letter is 8″ tall and 1.5″ wide. Now, because they are light weight and we were outdoors with a slight wind we had a little trouble with them standing up on their own.  We attempted to use double stick tape to keep them in place but it didn’t want to stick to the tablecloth.  We could have used packing tape to keep them upright but I was too nervous that the tape would take the paint off.  I intend to put them up in his nursery so I wanted to make sure they stayed in tip top shape.  Therefore, we just kept standing them up…no biggie!Gunner’s Nook sells these letters for $10 a piece.
