Picnic Perfect {Pyrex Giveaway} CLOSED

As the summer starts to come to an end, the weather cools deal just a bit.  Summer nights are the perfect times for picnics and barbecues.  I love sitting outside, eating a big juicy slice of watermelon, and enjoying the company of my friends and family.  When I lived in the Midwest I used to be able to do all this PLUS watch the fireflies.  Too bad Utah is missing those little beauties! This nice thing about picnics and barbecues are how laid back they are.  If only the preparation was a little more laid back too!  I am always trying to get things just right.  Cute matching serving bowls, tasty food, and getting myself ready.  With the help of Pyrex, my last picnic was as easy as pie!

Pyrex, established in 1915, started off making glass bakeware.  This wonderful product is affordable, durable, odor and stain proof, and great for cooking, serving and storing.  The Pyrex line now includes products for the entire kitchen, including pots and pans, metal bakeware, and kitchen tools and gadgets. All designed to make your time in the kitchen easy!  Today, over 70 percent of U.S. homes have Pyrex glass products, with many cooks passing them down from generation to generation.  Think about it…I bet you have some of your own!  I know I do, we put them on our wedding registry.  Pyrex generously sent me a fun package full of the newest and coolest picnic appropriate items.

Here is a run down on what I received:

No Leak Lids 6-piece packThree bowls and three lids…2 cups, 4 cups, and 7 cups.  The lids are leak proof, air tight, and have a vent for safe and clean microwaving.  It is so handy to be able to serve and store all on one container.  Less dishes to wash makes for a happy hubby   These worked perfectly for taking home made salsa to the picnic!  ($9.99)
Measuring CupsSet of four…1/4 cup, 1/3 cup, 1/2 cup, and 1 cup.  Unlike other nested measuring cups these do not come with a ring to attach them all together.  Instead Pyrex made them magnetized!  They stay together nicely!  These were used to make delicious cookies for dessert.  ($9.99)

Medium Grater with 1 cup Container This is the best idea!  Simply use the grater and it

falls right in to the measuring cup.  After measuring and maybe even using, put the lid on for easy storage.  This lid is also handy when you put the grater away…protects from an accidental cut.  Storing made safe!  I used this when I shredded the cheese for the salad.  This way everyone could out on their desired amount and cheese wasn’t left in leftovers.  No one likes soggy cheesy!  ($14.99)Serving TongsThese tongs are nice and wide and easy to squeeze together.  They are made with durable plastic and silicone!  I put these in the salad for easy scooping.  I can’t wait to use these the next time I make spaghetti! ($13.99)Large Basting SpoonThis spoon is made from silicone and plastic, just like the tongs.  The silicone edge makes scraping the bowl simply.  Not one lick was left when I used this spoon to serve up a mean Jell-O fruit salad (you know, the kind made with fruit cocktail, Jell-o, whipped cream, cottage cheese,
