In life we have opportunities presented before us everyday. Sometime we do them all so seamlessly that we do not even notice that they are going on. For instance will you walk the kids to school on a nice sunny day, or drive the car? Will we take the time to play with your kids, or will you stick them in front of the T.V. with a DVD on just to keep them busy? Will you take some extra time to make your family feel special? How about making time to go on a date with your hubby? These are all important decisions even though they seem so small. We do these things everyday and sometimes we don’t think twice about what and how we do things. So stop for a minute and think about the little things you do everyday.

What is one little switch I have made that made a difference, you ask?
I decided to do one thing to improve my family’s environment and help me stay a little less stressed. Not work as much! Yes I have to admit it was a hard one to do, but I did I decided to schedule days off from blogging and my computer. I put it into effect a few weeks ago and I am proud to say that I have been sticking to it. I find I have more time for my family and kids then every before. No more running to check my email. I am able to just hang out with my family all day!!! I have seen a big improvement in my stress level and I find I am happier than I have ever been. I have to admit I am a work-a-holic, so the first few days off….were rough HARD! I found myself wanting to get things done when I had a free minute from the kids, but I had to resist the urge and do something else. I did a lot of laundry and dishes and cleaning. I had to keep my mind work-free.
I played with the kids all day. We had so much fun. At the end of the day I felt full, full of fulfillment that I had taken the time to be with my family. Not just be there physically, but mentally, emotionally, and there for them completely. Do you do something that you wish you could change?
