Lip Smack Tacular

Experimenting with makeup is so fun.  I love trying out new products, new colors, and new methods of getting pretty.  Sometimes products can get pricey though.  And sometimes my new little guy and big little guy don’t have the patience to wait while I search for something new and fun. LipMonthly.com is a wonderful monthly subscription service that brings you the best lip products from around the country.  Whether you like lip gloss, lip stick, lip stain, or lip blam LipMonthly.com will send you a box filled with everything lips.  Now you don’t have to spend time at the store replenishing your stock while juggling kids.

LipMonthly.com sent me August’s box, 5 great products.  4 of these are for lips and one is for eyes.  Each month they include a different product for something other than lips, just to mix things up.  These four lip products are great to help you transition from summer to fall.First up is the lightest of the four colors, City Color Cosmetic’s Magic Balm.  This lip balm retails for $3.99.  It is a nice smooth balm that helps with dry, chapped lips while providing a nice light pink color.  Actually this one is pretty unique.  It glides on clear and then adjusts to your bodies PH level.  In the picture below it is a nice mauve rose like color but the longer it was on my lips it lightened into a Elle Woods pink color.  Either way I liked it!Just a little darker is the Jesse’s Girl Liquid Glass Lip Gloss in Gypsy.  This retails for $4.99.   Although this lip glass has just a hint of color to it, for the most part it is a sheer lip gloss with a little shimmer.  I like wearing this one by itself and layered over a lip stick.  It is a nice color and would also be great for tweens and teens.Next up is City Color Cosmetic’s Lip Balm in Ultra Pink.  This lip balm retails for $2.99.  It glides on nice and smoothly.  It is packed full of Vitamin E so your lips stay hydrated.  This lip balm is available in 16 different colors.  I really like the Ultra Pink.  Although is sounds a little 80′s scary it looks really nice on my lips.

The lip products concluded with the boldest of them all, Appeal Cosmetic’s Red Light District Lipstick.  Now this one was not included on the card listing the products for the month.  I should have received City Color Cosmetic’s Be Matte Lipstick in Phoebe but perhaps they ran out and substituted it with something else.  I am okay with that though because this lipstick retails for $22.  It is a true red and rocks!  It doesn’t bleed or feather and is sure to make teeth look whiter.  Although it is a true red it isn’t so bold and bright that it looks like a lady of the night.  It is really wonderful. So now that you know about each lip product let me show you the swatches side by side so you can see the difference between each of them. The last product I received was the wild card…for eyes!  It is Pixi by Petra Lid Last Shadow Pen in Gentle Gold.  This retails for $18.  It is a cream-to-shadow pen.  I like that because you don’t have to worry about the powder dropping below your eyes.  You can put it right where you want it to go and it stays put.  Also it doesn’t crease.  This is a light gold color.  This is a really great color to layer under your browns for the fall.  Below you can see what it looks like alone and layered with a great deep plum.

All together I received $51.97 worth of cosmetics!!  (Had I not received the Appeal Cosmetics lip stick and received the City Color Cosmetic’s lip stick as shown on the information I received, the box would have included $33.96 worth of products.)  When you sign up with LipMonthly.com it is just $10 a month!  I am pretty confident in saying that unless you join LipMonthly.com there is no way you could get all of these products for just $10 a month!
LipMonthly.com is just $10 a month.  You can sign up for a 1 month, 4 month, or 1 year subscription.  The longer the subscription the cheaper your first box, or two!  You can cancel at anytime so there is no reason to not give it a shot.  I mean, look at the deal I received!  $10 for 5 products!! What a steal!  LipMonthly.com works with companies like City Color Cosmetics, Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics, Pixi by Petra, Appeal Cosmetics, GlamNatural, and Stila Cosmetics.LipMonthly.com would be a great present for any girl…teenager, college student, or mother!  Receiving surprisebeauty products in the mail is exciting.  Experimenting with new makeup is fun!!  The money and time saved is totally worth $10.
